Andover South Lithium Project

The Andover North and South project is located adjacent to the world class Andover lithium discovery. Through extensive targeting work, the company has defined multiple target areas, which are characterized by outcropping, spodumene bearing pegmatites extending over multiple kilometre strikes. Initial drilling has indicated the presence of swarms of lithium bearing pegmatites with widths intercepted up to 15m in width and selected grades >2%Li2O

Location

The Andover South lithium project is located 10 kilometres south of Roebourne in the Pilbara region of Western Australia and is adjacent to and along strike from the extensive deposits of the Azure Minerals Andover lithium project.

The project comprises four exploration licences and 1 prospecting licence 80% owned by Raiden’s wholly-owned subsidiary Pilbara Gold Corporation and 20% by Welcome Exploration Pty Ltd.

Geology and Mineralisation

The project area is largely comprised of Andover Complex mafic and ultramafic rocks, into which are intruded numerous LCT pegmatites.

In 2024 Raiden completed the following exploration activities:

  • Extensive geological mapping and rockchip sampling of outcropping pegmatites
  • K-Rb fractionation analysis of pegmatite feldspars
  • Detailed drone magnetic survey
  • Structural interpretation over the Andover South tenements and adjoining area
  • 28-hole diamond drilling program totalling over 7,000m of drilling

The drilling program identified numerous lithium-bearing pegmatites with more significant results including:

ASDD019: 6.23m @ 1.16 Li2O%
ASDD022: 4.56m @ 1.16 Li2O%

Raiden continues to evaluate the Andover South project tenure for its lithium potential, including the use of external expert consultants to assess the exploration data accumulated in 2024 and map out an ongoing strategy to focus on the most promising zones of lithium mineralisation, with targeting expected to inform future potential drilling activities.
